First of all, we hope that this communication finds you and your loved ones healthy and safe.
Second, With the rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus and the recent business, school and community event closings, we’ve decided to POSTPONE our sale. It’s our desire to keep everyone in our Whoo Consigns family safe and free from the possibility of infections. This is especially true for our customers, many of whom are pregnant, nursing or have young children at home. Also with the nature of our event and the handling of thousands of items, standing in lines is not conducive to “social distancing” and we are unable to procure enough preventive items like disinfecting wipes or bulk sanitizers.
We are working with the PAL to decide on new dates for our event. We’ll let you know the new dates as soon as we confirm them. We can tell you that we are looking at least a month out in order to be clear of the spread of this virus.
We realize this is an inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to move our event dates.
How this affects shoppers:
Hopefully - other than a schedule change - our shoppers will not be affected. We will still have public sale shopping times available and will still hold a half-price day on the last day of the event. Anyone who has reserved a New Mom pre-sale or purchased a VIP pre-sale pass will keep their passes. When new dates are announced you will be given the option to keep the pass, “return” it, or transfer to a friend if the new shopping times don’t work for your schedule.
How this affects sellers:
For now, we are not making any changes to consignor status, restock consignor status, drop off times, or Team member shifts. Once we secure dates we’ll email all sellers with schedule changes. At that point, sellers will have the option to continue to participate or not. Team Members will be contacted with information on how to transfer their shifts to the new schedule - should they choose to do so - as soon as new dates are set.
We will continue to monitor all recommendations for public gatherings and update you of any changes as soon as we can. Thank you again for your patience and understanding. Ken & Melissa
