Picking Up Unsold Items

Pick Up Instructions

Follow these tips to make sure you come home with all the items you're supposed to and none that your not!
  •  Print out an UNSOLD ITEMS REPORT after 2pm - This will assist you in making sure that all your items have been properly sorted at pick up.

  • Check your records to see if any items were turned away at drop-off or if you left home any items you were planning to sell. 

  • When you arrive, check in with a volunteer who will direct you to where your items were sorted.

  • Make sure that the items in your pile correspond with the items on your Unsold Items Report.

  • Check that all the items do indeed belong to you, and alert a volunteer if there are any issues.

  • Alert Melissa if you have any issues with missing or miss sorted items. We have the best success at resolving any issues during pick-up. After pick up is over it is impossible to locate missing or miss sorted items.

  • Check the lost and found items bin for any of your items - yes, we know you did a great job tagging, but it happens to the best of us, tags come off, hangers break, it happens - check the bin!

Potential Pick Up Complications

YOU AREN'T AVAILABLE TO PICK UP YOUR ITEMS

Alert Whoo Consigns via email if you are having someone other than yourself pick up your items. Please advise that person of the pick-up instructions and ask them to review your unsold items. We must leave the PAL at 5 pm sharp on Saturday. - ITEMS CANNOT BE HELD BY WHOO CONSIGNS OR THE P.A.L. AFTER THE EVENT 

CHANGING THE DONATE STATUS OF YOUR ITEMS

After you have printed your tags we are not able to change the donate status of your items. Items will be sorted "as marked" once our event ends. It is our expectation that you will be picking up ALL unsold items that are not marked donate.

You are not able to leave behind unsold items to be donated unless they are marked donate on the tag. 

MISSING ITEMS

We are handling THOUSANDS of items and sometimes things get miss-handled. It's not uncommon for an item or two " to go missing" at the end of the event. We have found over the years that this is usually one of several reasons:

  • Those items didn’t make it to the event. When you are bringing so many items sometimes something gets left behind or falls out of a bag. You end up finding that item after the event is over stuck in a weird spot

  • The items were returned to you at check-in because they didn’t meet our quality standards

  • The item was sold but for some reason, the tag didn’t scan correctly, or through human error, the tag scan didn’t go through

  • The tag fell off the item and it was placed in the lost and found

  • The item was miss sorted into someone else’s pile at check out.

Due to the nature of the event, it’s almost impossible to track down one or two missing items after we leave the PAL. Sometimes we have luck if we’re still there by checking the lost and found and looking in the piles of sellers with similar numbers. Sometimes we have luck, usually, we don’t.


If the item you are missing is valued at over $30 we do consider the possibility that theft was involved. ( though in the past 8 years we have only had one confirmed case of theft at the event.) If your missing item is worth more than $30.00 you can talk to us and we can talk about the process for compensating you for your missing item.

WE HAVE PICK-UP GUIDELINES SET IN PLACE TO NOT ONLY HELP THE PICK-UP PROCESS GO SMOOTHLY BUT TO ALSO ENSURE THAT ALL SELLERS GET ALL THEIR ITEMS RETURNED TO THEM. FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THESE GUIDELINES WILL RESULT IN DEDUCTIONS FROM YOUR FINAL SELLER PAYMENT AND MAY RESULT IN BEING PROHIBITED FROM SELLING AT FUTURE EVENTS

FAILURE TO LEAVE THE PROPER AMOUNT OF LABELED SORTING BINS
$10.00 for not enough tubs, $25.00 for no tubs.

At drop-off, you were asked to leave LARGE LABELED tubs - enough to hold half of your items -  in order to help us clearly separate your items from other sellers' items on pick-up day.
